Hi Everybody,
I haven’t written in awhile because I haven’t had anything really to write about.
So far this year we’ve only been to one race, between weather, and personal health, it’s been an uneventful year. MIR has had several cancelations due to weather and last week Bruce got a piece of metal in his eye so he couldn’t race (doctors orders; and his eye is healing wonderfully).
But we plan on racing this coming weekend! (of course, weather permitting). MIR has an event filled night this coming July 1st and they’ll have their usual fireworks afterwards. And if things go well, we may even make it a double header and go to BOS on Saturday night. We have to get some racing in, as you all remember, this is our last year racing and I really want Bruce to get it out of his system, so we NEED to RACE!
I hope I’ll have a happy and long write up for you next week. So, stay tuned and hope to see you at the races!
Happy Canada Day and Happy 4th of July (Independence Day) to our American friends!
Cheers and stay safe,
Lynda
P.S.
If you’re looking to have fun in the pits, we are short a pit crew person this coming Friday at MIR.
Let me know if you can make it, much appreciated.

Hi Everybody,
This past weekend we raced at BOS. It was the first time we’ve been out this year. For one reason or another we just didn’t make other races. Bruce wanted to go for his “practise” to a 50 lapper?!?!?
So, from the beginning. It was a nice night. The weather was perfect. There were 20 cars for the 50-lap Modified race. Bruce’s time trials weren’t great, he still had cobwebs from this being his first time out this year. But we expected that. He did say the car felt good, but he knew he wasn’t totally up to speed.
He started 19th out of 20 cars. The track was in rough shape. The first lap started with a caution with 2 cars getting tangled up right in front of Bruce. Luckily, he was able to fly over the top of the track and avoid it. Once the race started back up the car looked good, but Bruce was having a hard time finding a line that wasn’t like a cheap motel vibrating bed. After about 17 laps Bruce pulled in. He said it was just too rough and he didn’t want to damage the car on the first night out. He ended up finishing 17th out of 20 cars. I believe there were only 7 cars that finished the 50 laps. I didn’t watch the race but I assume there were some that just pulled off because of damage due to track conditions.
Bruce does want to do the other 50-lappers at BOS but let’s hope it doesn’t rain all week and make the track pothole city (or Carling Ave is you live in Ottawa).
This coming Friday we are planning on going to MIR. I hope the track conditions and weather work in our favour so we can have a good night of racing.
I’d like to welcome a new sponsor to our team, Fleming Communications Inc. Welcome aboard and your logo looks great on the car.
I’ll try to keep you all posted on this year’s events. We do have some pictures from Rick at the Races (thanks a bunch Rick!) for your viewing pleasure.
Remember this is our last year of racing, so, if you want to see us on a track one more time, it’s now or never. Just sayin’.
Have a good week and see you at the races,
Lynda
